Swimming Pool Opening in Summer
Our pool opening service should be done in the springtime a few months before your are ready to start swimming. This will give the water a chance to warm up. this service is to get your pool ready for another fun filled summer. Includes weatherization by adding antifreeze to skimmers, adding necessary closing chemicals, draining or blowing the lines as needed, installing any and all required plugs, cleaning the pool filter and installing any safety cover.
The Yearly Swimming Pool Opening Service in Sacramento Includes
- Rinsing and removing pool cover

This service is for closing your swimming pool down for the winter time. It includes all the necessary steps to drain your pool clean it, and then preserve it for winter. Besides balancing the water that is left in the pool we will also antifreeze any parts of the system where water remains. Guaranteeing a safe slumber during winter. Balance Chemical Levels in Water
Test the levels and make sure the pH is between 7.2 and 7.8
total alkalinity should fall in the 80 to 150 parts per million (PPM) range
calcium hardness should be between 180 and 220 PPM
Add a chlorine or non chlorine shock agent to the pool for sanitizing purposes
wait for the chlorine level to fall back within the 1.0 to 3.0 PPM range
Remove Debris in Swimming Pool
Use a skimmer or leaf net to remove floating items.
Clean the surface of the walls and floor with a stiff-bristle brush.
Lower Water Level on Pool
Pool’s water level to approximately 2 inches below the lowest return line.
Remove Fittings and Accessories
Remove all of the pool’s fittings, such as wall fittings, skimmer baskets, cleaners and lights accessories.
Drain Pump and Filter
Remove all water from pump and lines. If plumbing freezes with water inside of it it will crack.
Blow Out Lines
Add an antifreeze product to the lines in below ground pools. Above-ground pools simply detach the hoses that connect to the filter and pump.
Add Winterizing Chemicals
Add a winterizing chemical kit to the water. This will help prevent large fluctuations in your pH
